Alex has more than 23 years experience in the video game industry, including spearheading the launch and operations for several start up and video game ventures.His work spans numerous entertainment and public relations firms, including Innovative Artists Agency, The Bohle Company, Terpin Communications and Bender/Helper Impact. He has led the PR/Marketing campaigns for hundreds of game launches ranging from Triple-A blockbuster titles to super niche indie games.
After managing the Interactive Group at agency Bender/Helper Impact, Alex left to launch marketing and communications firm Zeitgeist Communications. In 2005, Zeitgeist was acquired by Pacific Media Partners where Alex served as CEO before breaking off in 2009 to launch VIM Global, an independent PR/Marketing and Strategy consulting group. He launched Graffiti Games in January of 2018 to help indie game developers with funding and publishing services for their games.
Outside of work Alex enjoys spending time with his two dogs, cycling and boxing.
ANDY MESSNER
Senior Producer
As Graffiti Games’ Senior Producer, Andy Messner manages all activities related to production, development, and distribution. With 15 years of experience in game production and software development, Andy has shipped countless titles on more than 12 different platforms. Andy wears many hats at Graffiti, but his main focus is project management, platform management and developer relations.Andy’s previous experience includes long stints at Rooster Teeth Games, EA / BioWare, and Aspyr.
When not hard at work on various Graffiti projects, Andy is hard at work cultivating his epic beard.
ALEX VAN LEPP
Marketing Director
Alex Van Lepp has 10 years of public relations experience, and has focused on interactive entertainment and tech PR for the past seven years. Alex spearheads operations at Graffiti’s sister company - VIM Global, a video game marketing and consulting company. Prior to joining VIM, Alex worked for public relations agencies Wonacott Communications and GolinHarris, where he was a part of the Nintendo of America team. He has extensive relationships with journalists and influencers throughout the industry and a keen ability to successfully market and launch games. Alex provides campaign strategy and PR/Marketing for Graffiti’s titles.
Alex’s hobbies include cooking, soccer and travel.
ATHEYNEE ARNOLD
Community Manager
Atheynee has more than three years of social media experience, including influencer management and influencer outreach. She currently works with Alex Van Lepp on Graffiti’s PR/Marketing campaigns. Prior to Graffiti, Atheynee worked in production and marketing for television and film. She has developed strong relationships with media and influencers throughout the industry.
In her free time, Atheynee enjoys trips to Disneyland, cosplaying and cuddling with her cat.
Richard Cook
Associate Producer
Richard brings diverse experience as an artist, designer, creative director, and producer for several independent game development teams. In 2014, he was 1 of only 20 individuals selected to participate in a special game leadership and project management program at UT Austin, mentored by industry veterans Warren Spector (Deus Ex) and Richard Garriott (Ultima). In addition to his gaming industry tenure, he has also spent a large part of his career creating films, trailers, and other video content for publishers like Devolver Digital, New Blood Interactive (Dusk, Amid Evil), and Nintendo. As a personality in the gaming industry, he is recognized in content by brands like ASUS, and a regular speaker on the expo circuit.
